Secondary School
The Secondary Department offers both an International Programme, following a UK-based curriculum, and the Lao Programme approved by the Lao Ministry of Education. Using Cambridge textbooks, the curriculum integrates IELTS preparation for Years 11 to 13 to support students’ academic goals. Our graduates excel internationally, pursuing higher education in countries like Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, China, Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore.
Secondary Curriculum
Our school provides a curriculum designed to deliver a broad and balanced range of learning opportunities, shaping students into global citizens. We also offer English as an Additional Language (EAL) Programme for students with little to no English background, ensuring they receive tailored support. Our International Programme is also available to non-Lao citizens, providing a globally focused education for diverse learners.
KS3 (Years 7 to 9)
Our Key Stage Three programme builds upon the strong foundation established in the Primary Curriculum. Learners engage with a diverse array of academic subjects while developing essential skills for success in today’s world. Core subjects like English, Mathematics, and Science follow the Cambridge Checkpoint Curriculum, complemented by Social Studies, Physical Education (PE), Chinese, Art, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and Personal, Social, Health, and Economic (PSHE) Education. Dedicated subject teachers inspire students through engaging lessons and meaningful topics.
KS4 (Years 10 and 11)
The Key Stage Four curriculum is designed to further develop students’ skills, fostering their growth as independent, reflective, and critical thinkers. At this stage, learners are challenged to take greater responsibility for their education. The curriculum emphasizes academic rigor and personal growth, ensuring that students are well-prepared to face future challenges. To enhance their learning experience, the subjects offered are upgraded to include IELTS and Global Perspectives, broadening their understanding of global issues and strengthening their language proficiency.
KS5 (Years 12 and 13)
Key Stage Five prepares students for university and future careers through advanced academic study and skill development. With a focus on critical thinking, research, and independent learning, students gain the tools needed to succeed in higher education and beyond. The curriculum encourages personal growth and intellectual exploration, ensuring readiness for the challenges of university life. Students also receive guidance and support to help them make informed decisions about their next steps after graduation, paving the way for successful academic and professional futures.
Highlights

IELTS is integrated into our curriculum to help students build the language skills needed for higher education and international opportunities. As part of
their preparation, students are taken to the testing center in Vientiane to complete the official IELTS exam.

Our school offers secondary students the opportunity to join enriching field trips to Savannakhet, Khammouane, Champasak, Thailand, and Vietnam.
These trips are designed to expand students' horizons, deepen their understanding of different cultures, and connect their learning to real-world
experiences.

High school graduating students from Savannakhet join with the Vientiane main campus students for the graduation ceremony. Many graduates continue their academic journey abroad, with students heading to prestigious universities in countries such as Australia, the United States, China, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, and more, showcasing the global opportunities available to them.
Reports
All students will receive a report each term, which reflects both teacher assessments and any other tests administered. The students’ reports will also indicate whether the student is working at the right level for their age/ability. They will be either: ‘above average’, ‘average’ or ‘below average’ level
The Homeroom teachers will complete a student’s report card. This will be checked by the Principal, who will sign it. Parents/carers will need to collect this at the end of each term.
The report cards include:
– A percentage for their classwork
– A percentage for their examinations
– A percentage for their behaviour and attitude
The final grade includes an average percentage of the three areas above
